Medical Weight Loss FAQs

What is your weight loss program?

We realize weight loss isn't easy. That's why we developed a comprehensive approach leveraging nutrition science and safe prescription medication to help you begin. By giving patients the nutrition and hormones their bodies need, regular doctor appointments, weekly coaching and a comprehensive diet plan with a success manual, we've helped patients in Chattanooga lose over 80,000 pounds and counting.

How much weight can I expect to lose?

Although individual results vary, the typical male Elysian patient loses an average of 30-35 pounds over the course of the program and female patients lose an average of 20-25 pounds over the course of the program.

I have a pre-existing health condition? Can I do this?

We require a comprehensive consultation from all our patients to determine whether they're a good fit for our program. If we believe a patient cannot safely complete the program, we will develop an alternate approach that does not put the patient's health at risk.

Will I have to exercise?

The initial phase of weight loss focuses on diet alone, but a second phase leverages regular light exercise as we gradually increase your calorie limit.

Do you offer medication?

Depending on your needs, prescription medication may provide better results than is typical. A consultation with our physicians can help determine if you are a candidate for this medication. We also provide B-12 vitamin shots which further support your metabolism.
